The story of Mr. Spotless began in 1985 when owner Martha, originally a Louisiana native, moved to Kentucky at the age of 19. She immersed herself in Kentucky culture as she began her work at a Lexington horse farm, where she fell in love with Kentucky’s strong sense of community and kindness.
In 1989, Martha married Eddie, a Kentucky country boy, and they moved to Brooksville, KY, Eddie’s hometown, where they eventually welcomed their four children, Rachel, Patton, Cathy, and Emily, into their family.
Eddie and Martha took a risk when they purchased Brooksville Car Wash and Laundromat in 2000. They worked tirelessly to make their dreams of entrepreneurship a reality, working as a family to support each other and keep the business running. Their efforts paid off.
In 2007, the couple built the first Mr. Spotless Car Wash in Cold Spring, KY, and in 2015, after having grown the business for 8 fruitful years, Eddie and Martha also added an Express tunnel. Then, in 2018, Eddie and Martha sold the Brooksville Laundromat and Car Wash, their original business, making space in their schedules and lives to open their Mr. Spotless Crescent Springs location. Martha and Eddie now have four grandchildren and another on the way. Their children still stop by to get their cars clean and revisit the memories as Mr. Spotless continues to grow and thrive at both locations.

We love and care about our community, so we get involved! Mr. Spotless currently sponsors a Little League baseball team on an annual basis. We also donate products and gift cards to local silent auction charity events. Here are some community organizations we’ve partnered with in the past:
